Bandera Brewery Homebrew Competition

Welcome to the First Annual Bandera Brewery Homebrew Competition, benefitting the Bandera Brewery Scholarship Fund!

Enter your beer in either or both of this year's categories: Blonde or Stout! There are be additional competitions for hot sauce, chips, and salsa!  Tasting tickets will be available the day of for $1. There is no entry fee to attend.  The event will take place from 2-6 p.m. Rockabilly music from $2 Pistol begins at 6 p.m.

FOUR ENTRIES REQUIRED PER CATEGORY

HOMEBREW

Four different entries per category are required to have a competition for that category. You individually are invited to enter multiple categories but not required to.

You are welcome to bring your beer in whatever container you can use to get it there. We will need a minimum of 12 ounces for the judging

Judging (12 pm - 2 pm)

Have beer on site by noon May 4. You can drop off your entry as early as May 1. Bring your product in a bottle, can, growler, etc.

Tasting (2 pm - 6 pm)

Have your booth set up by 2. Bring a table, canopy, cooler, ice - whatever you need for your space. You can bring crackers or other palette cleansers. We will provide tasting cups.

Prize is $200 per category - or more depending on amount of entries.

A grand prize for best overall beer between both categories will be given. Recipe will be adjusted and you’ll get to brew it with our head brewer at Bandera Brewery. You choose the name. We’ll put it on tap.

Each entry gets a beer token and free tasting tickets.

There will also be a certificate for People’s Choice.

SALSA/HOT SAUCE/CHIPS

Set up by 1:30. Judging from 1:30 - 2.

Tastings 2-6.

We will provide tasting cups and napkins. You bring the chips/crackers/etc to enhance tastings.

Bring a table, canopy, cooler, ice - whatever you need for your space

Prize is $200 per category. There will also be a certificate for People’s Choice.
